Rule 1

Short title, extent and commencement.—

  1. These rules may be called the Kerala Prevention of Food Adulteration Rules, 1957.
  2. They extend to the whole of Kerala.
  3. They shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint:
    Provided that the State Government may, by the said notification, direct that such of the rules as may be specified, shall take effect in the said State only from such later date as the State Government may appoint.
