12. Protection of action taken in good faith.

No suit or other legal proceedings shall lie against the Government. Chief Dowry Prohibition Officer, Regional dowry Prohibition Officer and any Police Officer or person assisting him or Probation Officer in respect of anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done in pursuance of the Act or the Rules.
